•Substantial amount invested in Socio-economic development (SED) and Corporate social investment (CSI) initiatives with no measurable and tangible impact on communities.
•Misalignment between community needs and Socio-economic development initiatives.
•A dependent donor relationship between companies and communities that poses a risk on sustainability.
Socio-economic assessment & development (SEAD)
We assess the needs of communities and the impact of social investments such as SED and CSI in order to create sustainable partnerships and socio-economic upliftment.

We achieve this by facilitating public private partnerships that enable socio-economic transformation and uplift communities
SEAD is a 3-step process that assesses the needs of stakeholders, evaluates the impact and effectiveness of set interventions in addressing social-economic needs. Conducted through engagements; it channels differing opinions into workable collaborative plans. It builds responsible and responsive relationships that ripple effect on communities. The result is alignment and co-creation for a win-win solution.

Funding, employment, learnerships, graduate schemes, grants, community projects, incubation programs are aimed at uplifting communities. Against good intentions, the fall short due to beneficiaries’ educational background, social and environment state and unmet expectations. These create dependency and undesired behaviours which hampers implementation and threatens sustainability.
By challenging the mind and the way things are done; we build confidence and resilience which helps individuals and groups to embrace change. Our programmes have proven to address simple core elements that influence behaviour and increase the chances of individual and collective success.

“Vunda.Africa delivered in promised time and at times, earlier. We got the reports as required. The service was outstanding and at times, beyond what was in scope. Vunda.Africa was available throughout the project, gave guidance and valuable input”
Fikile Mokwena, Community Superintendent, Anglo American Coal
“We got a lot of value for our team; we saw what we value vs what they liked. One of the things that we saw was they do not like change as much as management does. We have restructured our system and departments so that there is more consistency for our team for planning and production to be more efficient. We saw how on board they are with the vision and how their bigger vision is aligned to management’s which has made us willing and able to grow further and expand ours”
